Change the label...

Lie:  I’m a failure.
Truth:  Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”  Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”

I’ve tried over and over to do this and I fail every time. I’m a failure. I’ve asked God to help me and I still failed. I’ve let Him down. I’ve let myself down. I’m a failure… I’m so disappointed in myself… I don’t like myself… I hate myself… I’m worthless. “Ahhh”, says the devil, “I’ve got the failure label stuck on that one pretty good, and they didn’t even suspect that it was me!”

Does any of this sound familiar? Do you find yourself presently at any stage of this downward spiral? Do you have that failure label stuck on your forehead and every time you look at yourself that’s all you see?

It’s time to change the label.

Peel off that ‘failure’ label and change your way of thinking. Failures are a part of life; it’s not your identity. Forgive yourself my friend. Replace the lie with the truth. (By the way, I’m speaking to myself too.) Look yourself in the mirror – yes lift up your head and look – and put on the ‘I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me’ label!

Did you catch it? It’s THROUGH CHRIST, Christ who strengthens me – not in my own strength, not by my own power!

Put on the ‘I’m chosen, accepted, loved, and through Christ I’m a conqueror’ label.

Trust in the Lord. Talk to Him about your hopes and dreams. He will guide and direct you on the road to success – success as He defines it for your life. His plans are always and forever good.
